Ushers
What is it?
Ushers help to facilitate the worship services and other special events at Savannah Christian Church. They monitor the worship service and offer assistance in maintaining a comfortable environment.
Ushers are available to help mothers to the Cry Room when a child is in need of special attention. They also work with the Medical Response Team if a sudden illness occurs. Other responsibilities include assisting with communion and offering, counting attendance and tending to the Pastor's needs.
When is it?
All volunteers are assigned to 1 of 4 teams; two teams for Saturday night and two teams for Sunday. Each team is asked to serve two weekends out of the month, serving every other weekend, both services. Ushers arrive 30 minutes prior to serving to have a time of prayer and meet with their team leader for information and/or instructions about the day.
